3. WAG: Worthwhile Awareness Guidance -to educate all business sectors to create accessibility for all.

Empowering individuals of all ages to embrace equality and understand diversity is the mission of PAWS that Empower, MobilityDog's flagship educational program. Led by dedicated Service Dog Teams, we bring interactive workshops and presentations to classrooms, conferences, offices, and community gatherings.

Engaging activities and discussions focused on six core values—tolerance, kindness, compassion, integrity, gratitude, and confidence—help participants gain valuable knowledge and the confidence to openly discuss perceived differences. This fosters a culture of mutual understanding and acceptance, breaking down barriers and creating a more inclusive world.

Our commitment goes beyond workshops. We collaborate with schools, businesses, and communities to advocate for ADA Law and create lasting change. By participating, you empower yourself and others, gain valuable knowledge, and support a cause that truly makes a difference.

PAWS that Empower is STEAM with a conscience. While traditional STEAM education focuses on science, technology, engineering, art, and math, it often overlooks a crucial element: Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). PAWS that Empower seamlessly integrates SEL skills like empathy, collaboration, and self-awareness into STEAM activities, fostering critical thinking and emotional intelligence – the hallmarks of impactful and meaningful projects.

Instead of adding SEL as an afterthought, PAWS that Empower uses SEL as the fuel that ignites innovation with a conscience. We empower students to not only create solutions but also understand their impact on the world and build a future that is inclusive, sustainable,

Engaging STEAM Activities:

  • Science: Students will be able to identify at least 3 ways service dogs utilize their senses to assist individuals with disabilities.

  • Technology: Students will explain how technology assists service dogs and/or people with disabilities (e.g., prosthetics, communication devices, medical tools etc.).

  • Engineering: Students will collaboratively design ways to make parks, schools, restaurants, and public places accessible to both humans and service dogs.

  • Art: Students will create wearable art projects reflecting a chosen action word- Tolerance, Kindness, Compassion, Integrity, Gratitude, Confidence, and Empathy. The students are not learning these words as a word in the dictionary but as an action word.

  • Math: Students will calculate the distance a service dog might walk in a day, incorporating real-life examples and the distances that disabled individuals have to travel to access accessible points of entry to teach empathy.

Our educational programs and workshops, PAWS that Empower, Reading Circle, and WAG are led by a Service Dog Team. These programs are brought into classrooms, conferences, offices, and community meetups where we introduce the importance of Equality for All. We intend to give each person knowledge and confidence to open discussions regarding perceived differences due to disabilities or anything that sets us apart, creating conversations stepping forward.

PAWS is a workshop-style course starting with a reading circle presentation on Tolerance, Kindness, Compassion, Integrity, Gratitude, Confidence, and Empathy. Following the reading circle, we will share the book and discuss the topic. The students will embrace the strength of sharing and understanding others without fear and understand why a service dog is a viable medical device for people with disabilities.
